Improve selective adhesion of bio active molecules to culture media platforms.
PVA TePla America have applied their expertise in gas plasma technology to solving adhesion problems of biomaterials to culture media and diagnostic substrates. Additionally, specific plasma processes have been developed for the selective adhesion promotion of bio active molecules. This is achieved by providing specific chemical functionality at the surface, allowing covalent coupling of biochemical species to occur. Carboxylic, hydroxyl, and amino functionalities are important examples of the types of chemical functionalities readily obtained with our plasma processes.
