Plasma Based Solutions:

Amination provides binding sites for bio and sensor molecules to polymer materials.
Surface amination is an important process in bioscience materials technology, particularly for culture media and medical diagnostic platforms. Amino functionality provides a binding site on otherwise inert polymer platforms for the attachment of bio and sensor molecules. PVA TePla has recently developed a new method for aminating various polymer platforms, that far outweighs previous methods of ammonia based plasmas. Our new “Aminafix” plasma process provides more than 5 times the concentration of primary amino functionality than previous methods.
